John will share the results of his collaborative research with world renowned construction academic Professor Peter Love on Australian construction projects worth over $32 billion which shows: 
· a 70% correlation between workers attending to rework and safety incidents
· rework is eroding profit margins by up to 30%

John currently consults broadly across the Australian and UK Construction industries to inspire Leaders and their teams to reduce rework and mitigate its safety, productivity and commercial impacts.

Current clients include the Melbourne Level Crossing Removal Program and a broad a range of Tier 1, 2 and 3 construction companies in the UK and across Australia. He is a nine times published author in major international engineering journals with Professor Peter Love and other leading construction management researchers on rework prevention and impact mitigation in Australian Civil Construction.

 

 

Andrew Harrison

As Head of Quality for Lendlease, Andrew drives value and delivery certainty for clients on Lendlease projects through increased awareness and focus on Quality objectives and values.

The Quality function also manages the business’ ISO accreditation (HS, E and Q); essentially its licence to operate, and as such Andrew and his team look at ways in which the business’ management systems and technology can be enhanced, streamlined and integrated in to other functions to drive efficiencies and productivity in delivery of their projects.

Andrew has 30 years’ experience in the construction and architectural industries and has helped successfully deliver a vast range of projects across a number of sectors in various parts of the world. He holds an MSc in Managing Major Projects and recently completed an MSc in Strategic Quality Management.

Catherine is currently driving outstanding delivery outcomes with her team at SEPA on the Melbourne Level Crossing Removal Project. She has over 20 years’ experience working with leadership teams in Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental & Emergency Management, Critical Risk Assurance Systems, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Project Management & Change Management across a range of industries including civil construction, oil & gas, mining, utilities, power, manufacturing & health & human services.

She holds undergraduate qualifications in Applied Science (Physiotherapy) and post graduate qualifications in Ergonomics, Cleaner Production, Risk Management and Management.
